Join us for a special presentation of the 1920 silent film with music composed by Mr. Kermit Poling for a Halloween fun night. Our West Edge Quartet will be performing. At a carnival in Germany, friends encounter the crazed Dr. Caligari. They see Caligari showing a hypnotized man who the doctor claims can see into the future. Shockingly, a prediction of death, and by morning this chilling prophecy has come true. Who is the prime suspect and is Dr. Caligari controlling him?

Gary Mauer and Elizabeth Southard will be performing with the South Arkansas Symphony bringing joy to El Dorado. Gary Mauer performed with us for the 3 Phantoms In Concert last year. The El Dorado, Smackover, Camden, and Emerson High School Choirs will be joining us with Holiday music that will be fun for all!

Randal Rushing has led a distinguished career spanning 5 decades as a leading tenor, performing a wide variety of music on stages around the world. Randal is a native of El Dorado, and we are proud to bring him back to perform with The Symphony. Kermit Poling has invited The Wideman Gold Medalist, Parker Van Ostrand will join the Symphony with a classical production.

Peter Boyer’s new Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue was commissioned to celebrate the upcoming centennial of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Jeffrey Biegel and The South Arkansas Symphony, directed by Kermit Poling will be performing this celebration for Arkansas. Mr. Biegel has launched a ‘Rhapsody National Initiative’ with the goal of performing in all the 50 states. This musical journey celebrates 100 Years showcasing compositions that have defined American music.

The first for The South Arkansas Symphony – an Opera. The South Arkansas Symphony and South Arkansas Arts Center will be performing Hansel and Gretel. This Opera was first conducted in 1893 and has been performed around the world. From their broom-maker’s home to the forest of danger, the children lose their way. The dream of angels, the gingerbread house, and then the Dew Fairy awakens the children. The Witch goes into action and children save the day when the oven explodes. Life back in their home and forest is peaceful again.

hometown guests and performers. Come join us on The Square for this wonderful concert that
will have you singing along, clapping your hands, and proud of The USA!
